Beryl Gardinant, a self-proclaimed "humble old man," is a sword instructor at his dojo in a rural, backwater village. In his younger years, he dreamed of glory as a master swordsman, but those days are long behind him. Out of the blue, he receives a visit from a famous former pupil who brings him world-shattering news - he's been appointed as a special instructor for the knights of the Liberion Order! With his life now turned upside down, Beryl travels to the capital and reunites with some of his former students: elite knights, an ace wizard, and even an adventurer who's attained the highest guild rank possible. But why do they all want his tutelage?! As far as he's concerned, they clearly don't need him anymore. Can Beryl live up to his new position? And will he ever get a moment's peace away from his adoring students?!

S2E4 - The Old Country Bumpkin Returns Home
A letter arrives for Beryl from the village of Biden.
It is from her father, Mordea, and is a request for her to return home, containing details unique to Biden village.
As the magic academy is on summer break, Beryl invites Myui to come home with her. With
Myui accepting the invitation, Henblitz who has become interested in the village, and Kurni who shows up unannounced, Beryl makes her first trip home, but the very next day an unexpected battle erupts.

S2E5 - The Old Country Bumpkin Lets Out a Roar
The operation to defeat the saberboar has begun.
Along the way, Kurni fulfills his long-held wish to defeat the saberboar and feels a sense of personal growth.
Meanwhile, Landrid makes full use of his experience and knowledge as a former adventurer, and also displays his swordsmanship to the fullest.
Witnessing this, Henblitz is inspired and challenges Landrid to a duel, which Landrid accepts.
The battle between the two shakes the soul of Beryl, and the other swordsman as well.

S2E6 - The Old Country Bumpkin Faces Off Against His Father
With the sabre boar nest destroyed and the threat eliminated, the village of Biden is holding its annual festival.
At the feast, Henblitz and Landrid deepen their friendship, while Adel and Edel look after Mui.
Beryl watches the young people enjoying the festival while grilling meat for everyone, and reflects on his own true feelings as he grows older.
Then Mordea appears and takes Beryl to the dojo.
Will Beryl be able to overcome the formidable obstacle that is his father, Mordea?

S2E7 - The Old Country Bumpkin Gets An Invitation From Nobility
The Margrave of Flumewerk. Allusia and Beryl were invited to a ball held in this territory, which borders the neighboring country of Sfendyardbania.
The invitation also served to confirm the travel route in preparation for Princess Sarakia's upcoming wedding.
Along the long journey, Beryl offered advice and encouragement to the young knights.
What awaited Beryl upon his arrival in the land was a reunion with an unexpected person.
