In the heart of the Forest of Dean on the edge of the Wye Valley in Gloucestershire, Alex Polizzi checks into the Farmer's Boy Inn, a roadside pub with rooms where a pie obsession runs deep. Owner Phil has owned the place for 25 years and has built its reputation around his famous pastry. The pub is doing decent trade, but the rooms sit largely empty. Alex arrives to find a pub lacking in exterior inspiration and crucially, no signage advertising the on-site accommodation. Can she help turn things around?

Alex Polizzi heads to the West Midlands to answer an SOS from 60-year-old entrepreneur Stephen. His once-beloved family home, a 500-year-old farmhouse, is now a 10-bedroom hotel that is limping along at just 23 per cent occupancy, and he's struggling to understand why.
