Police officer Gleb Kotov and his dog Mukhtar find themselves under threat of dismissal after making a serious mistake during a dangerous assignment. Suddenly, Gleb and Mukhtar get a second chance — Colonel Kolosov, who dreams of working with a service dog again, takes them to his new department along with other failed police officers — Victoria Stroganova and Oleg Frolov. In addition to them, a young IT specialist named Rafa is assigned to their department. The newly formed team will have to overcome differences and regain the trust of the leadership, and first of all, Lieutenant Colonel Yudin. Meanwhile, a criminal group led by an antique dealer, an old acquaintance of Kolosov, is operating in the area entrusted to them.

Kolosov and his charges are investigating the case of an order stolen from the widow of a military commander. Together with his colleagues, Kotov determines the circle of suspects. Among them is a locksmith, a social worker, and a friend of the woman who works as a prop boy at the film studio. The operatives calculate that the prop had a criminal record. At the request of Captain Frolov, Raf learns all about the shadow market of numismatics, where such an award can easily be sold. As a result of the investigation, the operatives are on the trail of the real criminal.

To get on the trail of the Antique Dealer, Kolosov instructs the staff to find out everything about the murdered Snoop. In parallel, their department is being connected to another case. In the waters of the Moskva River, robberies of ships on which weddings are celebrated are taking place. The criminals stop the boats right on the water and rob the guests at gunpoint. Interviewing the witnesses doesn't yield anything. The surveillance camera leads the operatives to the pier of the yacht club. Disguised as an art expert, the antique Dealer finds a new victim from whom he wants to steal a valuable painting... 

The antique dealer is looking for the perpetrators of the theft. Since the painting he needs is kept right in the house on the banks of the Moskva River, he hires a gang on jet skis. Svetlana is in charge of the gang, and the investigation leads the operatives to the wedding agency where she legally works. To find out how robbers choose their victims among the newlyweds, Raf and Alice Kolosova decide to play the role of the bride and groom...

The department receives a statement from citizen Khromova about the disappearance of Olga's daughter. Operatives with Mukhtar go to the scene, but in the park the trail of the girl is lost. Operatives detain the guy of the missing Hera. Her friend saw how he forced her to beg her father for money to cover a huge debt in an online casino, blackmailing her with kidnapping for ransom. A girl turns to the department and claims that she was attacked by an unknown man in Panfilov Park.

The victim Polina gives evidence. Victoria and Artyom come to the conclusion that a serial killer is behind the attacks in the park. One of the victims remembered a white minibus. A drug that causes short-term memory loss is found in the blood of all the affected girls. The operatives decide on an investigative experiment, but the attempt to provoke the maniac proves unsuccessful. Yudin removes everyone from the case. Returning home, Victoria is attacked by an unknown man.

The famous actor Maxim Antonov was robbed. Captains Frolov, Stroganova and Kotov, together with Mukhtar, inspect his house. Svetlana comes to the Antique Dealer and undertakes to arrange Kolosov's arrest in order to get him out of the game. Operatives are interviewing Antonov's housekeeper and wife. Suspicion falls on his daughter. Antonov himself does not look like a victim: he goes on various talk shows and gives interviews to the press. Svetlana hires performers and arranges an accident in which Kolosov allegedly hit a pedestrian. Kotov and Mukhtar find Antonov's illegitimate son.

Antonov, who has recovered from the new attack, cannot tell the operatives anything about the robber. Meanwhile, Raf manages to protect Colonel Kolosov's good name and prove that the accident was staged. The antique dealer is furious and drives Svetlana away. Kotov and Frolov figure out the driver who brought Antonov to the house and was the last to see him. When they arrive to talk to him, he rushes off. Mukhtar rushes after him. Kolosov gets run over by a car: someone wanted to kill him.

After hitting Kolosov, Svetlana is detained. Kolosov persuades her to cooperate and hand over the Antique Dealer. At this time, a robbery is taking place. Bandits take valuables and beat up the pawnshop receptionist. Operatives arrive at the crime scene and see that the signs of the pawnshop are covered with threats. The police find out that the inscriptions could have been made by the grandfather who lives next door and is fighting for the closure of the pawnshop. Mukhtar discovers flyers with the abbreviation "SR" in the apartment of this grandfather. The grandfather says that they belong to his grandson.

Pawnshop robberies continue. Detectives are looking for the ex-girlfriend of the injured employee, from whom she gave birth to a child. The girl's brother, who lives next door and takes care of her, is found hanged. One of the bandits comes to the police and expresses a desire to cooperate. The antique dealer is detained in the hope that he will be identified.

Lieutenant Colonel Yudin instructs Kolosov's group to find a dog named Arturchik, stolen from a wealthy Zhanna Eduardovna. Frolov is offended by such a task, but Kotov and Kolosov take the matter seriously. Semenovsky, the co—owner of a business in common with Jeanne, is under suspicion. Rafe finds out that a gang of kidnappers is operating in the area, luring dogs and injecting them with sleeping pills, after which they demand a huge ransom from the owners. The operatives decide to check both versions.

Captains Stroganov, Frolov and Kotov do not find the abducted Mukhtar, but the thieves, fearing problems with the police, leave him in the forest. The dog is picked up by a police patrol. Mukhtar leads the operatives straight into the criminals' lair. A gang of dog kidnappers is detained, but Zhanna Eduardovna's dog is not found there. We have to start looking for Arturchik all over again. A woman receives a demand for the redemption of her pet. The operatives ambush the extortionist, but he turns out to be more cunning and hides from the police along with the money. But by this point, the operas have another suspect— the victim's lover.

In a large shopping mall, a gang of intruders removes money from cards using new contactless data reading technologies. Operatives from Kolosov's department are assigned to find the criminals. In hot pursuit, Kotov, Stroganova and Frolov manage to detain a young man who betrays his roommate Valery Zimin. Valery is arrested, and Kolosov reports to Yudin that there is one detainee in the case. Nevertheless, the thefts don't stop there. Moreover, this time the money is being debited from Yudin's own card... 

Operatives are developing a plan to catch the scammers by provoking their actions in the mall. Suddenly, during the operation, a pickpocket named Bill comes across. The attackers are switching to stealing funds from transponders in cars. Operatives patrol the yards and almost detain the criminal. Mukhtar even manages to rip off one of the fugitive's sneakers. After analyzing all the connections of the detained Valera, the operatives detain his friend named Breeze. The antique dealer decides to finally deal with Kolosov, who got in his way. He organizes a fictitious accident with the colonel's car, the culprit of which offers Kolosov to "settle the matter without the participation of the traffic police." Kolosov is detained by internal security officers, accusing him of extorting a bribe.

After his arrest, an antique Dealer comes to Kolosov's cell and confesses that he arranged the death of the colonel's wife. Investigator Nezlobin does not believe that the case against Kolosov was fabricated by the Antique Dealer. Meanwhile, Yudin becomes the victim of a robbery: right in front of his eyes, a company laptop is stolen from his car. He orders an investigation to be conducted in hot pursuit. Soon Stroganova and Raf find surveillance video that can confirm Kolosov's innocence, but Nezlobina finds a reason to keep the colonel under arrest...

Mukhtar finds fake documents for a shipment of cars. The investigation leads the operatives to the car dealership, but its owner assures them that no one stole a batch of cars from them. The matter is reaching a dead end. Stroganova, sensing that Nezlobina is interested in Kolosov's arrest, seeks her connection with the Antique Dealer. After some time, she finds evidence that not so long ago someone helped her son Andrey to evade responsibility for the crime committed. Frolov and Kotov with Mukhtar eventually manage to expose a criminal scheme involving the theft of new cars and detain the entire criminal group. Colonel Kolosov, who has been cleared of all charges, is finally being released.

Someone tried to kill Andrey, an instructor at a sports club, by locking him in a hot sauna. The victim is taken to the hospital, and Stroganova, Frolov, and Kotov with Mukhtar begin interviewing witnesses. The victim had many conflicts, but it is not possible to detect enemies who want him dead. It turns out that Andrey had a quarrel over debts with a partner in an illegal business selling sports nutrition. Wanting to finally deal with his rival Antique Dealer, Kolosov is trying to get close to his business empire...

The investigation at the fitness club reveals many secrets of the institution's staff, but it is not possible to find the one who attempted to kill Andrei. But Rafe discovers a scandalous video on the Internet. A hidden camera was installed in the women's locker room of the club and with its help they tried to blackmail the girls who got caught in the lens. However, if, in the case of the rising stand-up star Malyarova, the victim does not mind the dubious fame, then the other victim wanted to arrange lynching of the attacker herself. Thanks to Mukhtar, the operatives put an end to this case. The antique dealer decides to play all-in and kidnaps Alice Kolosova.

Kolosov finds out about his daughter's disappearance. Kirillov gets in touch with the colonel and, in exchange for his daughter's life, asks Kolosov to steal the paintings he needs. Fearing for Alice's life, the colonel does not tell Yudin or his subordinates about the illegal contract with the criminal. Kotov and Mukhtar see a police colonel committing a crime and begin to pursue him.

During a shootout at an abandoned factory, an antique dealer loses his laptop. Thanks to the information from this laptop, Rafe becomes aware that the criminal holds all his assets in cryptocurrency. To gain access to the Antique Dealer's accounts, the operatives need to obtain a key password. Kolosov guesses where the Antique Dealer keeps this password and replaces the flash drive with a copy at the last moment. Rafe, tracking the Antique Dealer's mother's calls, finds his new lair. Unfortunately, it is not possible to detain him and Alice at this address. The chase also fails, but Kolosov's plan works here.
