The ability to see the trail and feel the animal logic helps Okhlopkov at his new duty station – he gets a job as an operative in the Yekaterininsky district of St. Petersburg. His partner is a Welsh Corgi dog named Tubik. Will the provincial and the truth-teller Okhlopkov be able to get along in a big city? His integrity often creates difficult "situations."
