Next Episode of 22 Kids and Counting is
Season 8 / Episode 2 and airs on 08 February 2026 20:00
Series following Noel and Sue Radford as they cope with their supersized family, as well as grandchildren, dogs, teenage parties and home-schooling.
When Millie met Harley she already had six-month-old daughter Ophelia from a previous relationship. Now they are married, Harley wants them all to have the same surname, but Millie however is worried about Harley adopting her as Ophelia does not know yet that he isn't her dad. Deciding what to do for the best puts stress levels through the roof and sends one of the adults on a trip to hospital.
Sue's 50th birthday should signal the end of her childbearing years, but she has no menopause symptoms and a specialist says her history of multiple pregnancies could mean she stays fertile well into her sixties. As the children prepare balloons and cake for the party, Sue wonders if Noel might be getting a very unexpected gift.
The Radfords decide a line has been crossed and they have to act when a holiday trip to Florida turns sour thanks to some brattish behaviour from their children. Noel goes a bit further than Sue expects when he signs everyone up for a 48-hour survival course in Ireland, taking away their phones, their home comforts and even the roof over their heads.
Sue and Noel Radford struggle to know how best to advise their eldest daughter Sophie after she confesses that all is not well in her marriage to Joe. With a home and three children to consider, does she try one last time to make it work - or accept that it may be time to go their separate ways? Meanwhile, Millie and Harley's little girl Ophelia excitedly prepares to start school.
This episode begins inauspiciously, as son Josh turns eighteen. Outgoing, football-mad and usually the loudest, wildest joker in the house, Josh has always thrived on attention. So when he shows no interest in celebrating such a milestone, alarm bells begin to ring. When Noel asks what he wants to do for his birthday, Josh's answer is stark: nothing.
This episode of 22 Kids & Counting is unlike any before it. Filmed over nine months with Josh's full consent, and made with the guidance of mental health professionals, it tells a story Josh never expected to share – but one he chose to tell so others might recognise themselves and seek help too. Moving, heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting, it's an episode that won't be forgotten.
