Amber and Trent Johnston are living the American dream. They have been happily married for 14 years and have five children ranging from 6 to 13 years old. On paper, they might seem like your average family...yet in person, they attract a lot of attention.... because all seven members of the Johnston family – Amber, Trent, their two biological children, Jonah and Elizabeth, as well as their three adopted children, Anna, Emma and Alex – happen to have Achondroplasia Dwarfism. Together, these spunky seven make up the largest known family of Achondroplastic dwarfs in the world, and even describe themselves as "the real life seven dwarfs".
Liz and Brice's engagement brings new challenges to the Johnston family; plans are made for a fall wedding in Trent and Amber's backyard, but tough conversations about costs and timelines make it clear that compromises will be necessary.
The family works on wedding projects, Trent has a job for Boppa golf, Alex and Emma tackle school projects, and Liz worries about her wedding dress alteration going smoothly.
Amber and Emma surprise Liz with a bridal shower. Jonah and Alex help Brice get over his fear of public speaking. Trent cuts down a tree in the backyard, but concerns rise as he begins having heart palpitations. The family experience a devastating loss.
It's the week leading up to Elizabeth and Brice's wedding and there's lots to do to get ready; Liz's dress is back from getting alterations, but she worries it's still not right ; the rainstorm puts everything at the perfect wedding venue in jeopardy.
