Golaya Pravda (literally, Naked Truth) was a news program that on Russia's M1 network, that had an interesting twist: the hostess, Ukranian Svetlana Pesotskaya, undressed while reading the news. She started each program fully clothed and by the end wore nothing but a smile. Careful placement of her hands or props kept viewers from seeing more than she wanted them to, and kept interest in the show. The show also featured a weather report delivered by a professional striptease artist. M1, suffering from terrible ratings, tried this idea as an experiment, and continued it when it received rave reviews.
