On the day of the King's Coronation, special sergeant Jon and paramedic Alex respond to a call involving an injured and intoxicated male, chaos ensues as they strive to provide care to the man. The team are also called to the aid of a one-year-old baby having a seizure, paramedic Chelsea administers oxygen and an anti-convulsant drug. After a fire breaks out in a garage containing hazardous chemicals, the owner suffers from the effects of smoke inhalation leaving the emergency responders to act swiftly.

In Cobham, Paramedic Tasha and Special Inspector Kev, are called when a woman is flung from her horse. She displays symptoms of a spinal fracture and alarming internal bleeding into the pelvis. When they roll the woman onto a stretcher and assess her, they decide her injuries are time critical and she needs to urgently be transported by Air Ambulance to hospital.

Paramedic Mark and Police Constable Calum respond to a collision between a 17-year-old car driver and a 13-year-old E-scooter rider, who has a suspected fractured ankle. The car driver, who's only had his license for two months, says the scooter rode in front of him. With young drivers causing a fifth of all deaths and serious injuries on the road the car driver is breathalysed and tested for drugs at the scene with alarming consequences.

It's pub closing time in Rochester, when Paramedic Lauren and Special Inspector Kev assess a man who has lost consciousness after drinking 8 cans of beer plus wine. He doesn't remember falling over, saying "it seems like I have really overdone it". But is head injury is worrying and so he's sent to hospital to rule out any serious head injury.

Paramedic Mark and Police Constable Ben attend a two-car collision, where one car has been shunted from behind when a second car skipped a red light and smashed into it, dash cam footage confirms the events as the officers see the car travelling at speed into the traffic light, causing it to bend a traffic light over the fast lane of a dual carriageway.

Kent's Joint Response Unit was set up to deal with dual police and medical emergencies.

Paramedic Chelsea and Special Constable Robbie are in action during a welfare check on a man they discover on his kitchen floor in a pool of blood. He says he is the victim of a hit-and-run car incident, but treatment of his head injury reveals what might be an altogether different story.

The latest annual figures reveal, almost 6,500 people were killed or injured on UK roads in accidents involving a drunk driver. Police Constable Ben, accompanied by Special Constable Clive, and Paramedic Mark, chase down a motorist suspected of being intoxicated, who's just fled the scene of a collision. When the JRU team catch up with the man, they find a half empty bottle of vodka in his car. The driver fails his breath test, blowing almost four times over the legal drink drive limit.

There are around 100,000 UK hospital admissions each year due to heart attacks: that's one every five minutes. Paramedic Sinead uses her specialist skills, while accompanying a patient to hospital following a fall caused by a suspected cardiac arrest. After a blue light dash across Maidstone, the man is rushed into A & E, just as he suffers another bradycardia attack.

Finally, as darkness descends on the Isle of Grain, revellers gather and take over a disused sea fort, to hold an illegal party. The incident quickly escalates into a major operation involving Police, Ambulance, Fire & Rescue, and Coast Guard crews, as well as a police helicopter overhead. It's a potentially dangerous situation made worse by an incoming tide that cuts the partygoers off from urgent medical care.
