A Capitol Fourth

In 2022, America's Independence Day celebration, A Capitol Fourth, will mark 42 years on the air. The show is broadcast to millions of viewers on PBS and streaming platforms as well as to our troops watching around the world on the American Forces Network.

A Capitol Fourth, America's longest-running live national Independence Day TV tradition, will also feature: Chicago, Boyz II Men, Belinda Carlisle, Babyface, Maddie &Tae, Charles Esten,Ruthie Ann Miles, Adrienne Warren, Renée Fleming.

The Broadway cast of A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical featuring Will Swenson and Robyn Hurder.

The National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly.

Capping off the festivities will be a patriotic musical medley featuring The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" during the spectacular fireworks display, an annual audience favorite. The musical finale will be accompanied by live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery, an A Capitol Fourth tradition.

Actor Alfonso Ribeiro hosts the 44th annual celebration on the West Lawn of the US Capitol, featuring performances by Smokey Robinson, Fantasia, Darren Criss, Sheila E. and many more. The National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of premier pops conductor Jack Everly will also perform. The evening will be capped off with patriotic classics and a spectacular fireworks display over our nation's iconic skyline.

Celebrate our country's 249th birthday live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol with all-star musical and patriotic performances from pop, country, R&B, classical and Broadway artists. Joined by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of premier pops conductor Jack Everly, the 2025 edition of America's biggest birthday party features the greatest display of Independence Day fireworks anywhere in the nation lighting up the iconic D.C. skyline.
