After graduating top of the police academy, Iris, 27, joins a police station in the south of France. Upon arriving in this brigade composed of colorful police officers, she receives a more than mixed reception. Her in-depth knowledge of law and her insistence on respecting the rules do not please everyone, especially Victor, 54, her designated partner, a lone cop whose methods are considered outdated.Despite their age and background differences, when Iris and Victor are assigned a case that is almost closed in advance, by combining their talents, they will discover that it is not a simple car accident but a premeditated crime. New police detective Iris joins a lively precinct in a tourist town in the south of France, and immediately clashes with her cantankerous partner who is nearing retirement. On their first case, they investigate the death of a chef preparing to turn a local bistro into a more exclusive restaurant.
Iris and Victor are still bumping heads when a knight dies while jousting at a medieval re-enactment and they are assigned to investigate. What appears to be an accident soon turns out to be a murder. At the station, Janvert discovers the precinct has received appalling ratings online and she orders Nesrine and David to behave in a courteous manner.
The gentle sniping between Victor and Iris continues when they investigate a murder by drowning at a caravan park. The owner has plenty to tell them about the victim, as do others. Meanwhile, in the office, Pauline and Ryem have a bored 14-year-old intern to mentor. Can they spark his interest in policing?
A firefighter runs to the top of a fire control tower near the harbour but then falls to earth, as her distraught partner calls for her to wake up. Iris and Victor are called in and are unimpressed by the lack of sympathy shown by the victim's commander. Can they get to the bottom of this case despite the victim's unhelpful colleagues?
