Six years later, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive and with no memory of the years she was missing. Returning home to learn her husband has remarried and her son is being raised by another woman, she soon finds herself implicated in a new series of murders.
Emily Byrne struggles to make sense of her time in captivity and her tumultuous past. Meanwhile, a deadly terrorist attack rocks the heart of Boston, drawing Special Agent Nick Durand and the FBI onto the case.
Nick and the team try to track down the person who attacked the Federal Annex; a shadow from the past jeopardizes Emily's tenuous balance.
