Kaverin's attempt to contact Marina turns into an unpleasant conversation with Sorokin, who answered the phone instead of her. Yelagina demands that Gleb take a spermogram because of their unsuccessful attempts to conceive a child. Nurse Polina breaks up with her boyfriend and shares this with Kaverin. Gleb's attempt to comfort her leads to another scene of jealousy on Yelagina's part, which finally expels him from the house. Then he meets with Bragin himself and offers him a plan to take the business away from Odintsovo...
