Alaska: The Last Frontier: The Frozen Edge is the 4th spin-off series from Animal Planet's hit franchise "Alaska: The Last Frontier" which is about The Kilchers who have lived off the land for four generations in the Alaskan wilderness.
Making it through winter in the Alaskan wilderness requires harvesting and hunting when the weather allows it.
Winter's harsh conditions arrive early, catching the Kilchers off-guard; they need to accelerate all their normal preparation in unusually harsh conditions for the time of year.
The Kilchers stare down the barrel of the first big winter storm and kick their wood gathering into overdrive in the hard conditions.
