Behind the historic facade of this iconic monument, 900 dedicated men and women do their utmost every day to keep everything running smoothly. During the largest renovation in its history, they are constantly challenged to be prepared for the unexpected.
During the Formula 1 Grand Prix, employees try to control both the flow of travelers and goods.
On King's Day, it's all hands-on deck for the staff at Amsterdam Central Station. While Menno and Carolien resuscitate a girl, the rest of the team tries to control the chaos at the station.
As the Orient Express pulls into the station, the security team is busy dealing with a fare dodger.
Amsterdam Central is undergoing a mega renovation while the station remains fully operational. Today, the construction team, led by Leon, will demolish a dilapidated railway bridge. Meanwhile, officers Menno and Carolien deal with a woman who has fallen down an escalator.
