Master mechanic Ant Anstead goes back to basics as he buys, restores and sells old cars from a ramshackle barn. But this time, it's personal, as any profit made will help him renovate a 500-year-old farmhouse that he's bought for his parents to retire in.
Ant falls for a 1989 Lotus Esprit but it's a gamble after losing £10k on his last Lotus restoration. His dad isn't happy when he finds out the car doesn't run. Plus, a bodged sunroof causes Ant a major headache. Structural cracks appear in the farmhouse.
Ant heads to Devon for a 1995 Honda Civic with a legendary K20 engine. But it doesn't start or stop, and the interior is crammed with random parts.
Ant buys a 1968 Alfa Romeo Giulia with no steering. Duncan is not impressed as clutch trouble and a hole in the floor will add to the repair bill.
Ant heads to Essex to see a car that was once fit for the Queen - a 1970 Rover P5B. Despite rust, oil leaks and heavy steering, the legendary V8 engine wins him over. But back at the workshop he uncovers serious bodywork issues.
