Baby's First Day

Baby’s First Day takes you inside the labor and delivery department of Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Vanderbilt is one of the busiest maternity wards in the world. No other place sees more tears, screams, and smiles, and we’ll be there to capture every moment.

In each half-hour episode, we follow two families, starting with their chaotic, excited, emotional arrival at the maternity ward. We experience childbirth right alongside the family and chronicle all of their emotions throughout this life-changing event. Then we join the families as they and their newborn transition from the set schedule and on-call assistance at the hospital to their new lives at home.

Baby’s First Day is a fast-paced, emotionally charged rollercoaster that brings a fresh perspective to the baby genre. It distills the excitement and joy of the Vanderbilt maternity ward into a perfect drama where every moment is a miracle.
