In the aftermath of the massacre at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, BAND OF SPIES follows Israeli Mossad agents as they hunt down members of the Black September terrorist group. As the investigation progresses, it consumes the lives of both the agents and their targets as they unknowingly change the face of global politics.
Mossad learns Black September has missiles and plans to target Golda's plane in Rome. The European team rushes to Italy to stop the attack. Salame supervises the operation, which collapses, causing rising tensions within Black September.
DAOUD, a Black September member, is arrested in Jordan. To pressure for his release, Salame plans an attack on the Saudi embassy in Sudan. The killing of the U.S. ambassador prompts Americans to share crucial intel with the Israelis.
The Mossad plans to kill key Black September leaders in Lebanon using commando units. Zamir sends spy HELEN to gather intel in Beirut. Three Munich terrorists arrive in Beirut. Mossad launches their operation.
The commando teams arrive in Beirut with help from Harari's European team. Salame confronts his wife. The Mossad mission succeeds, killing three key Black September members, while Mossad spy Helen is stranded in Beirut.
