Bang Bang

“Bang Bang” is a telenovela that is part adventure, comedy, western and soap-opera that aired 6 nights a week in Brazil. The series is set in the American old Wild West that has all kinds of western heroes and some bad guys show up from time to time. Among the figures that have appeared are Billy the Kid, Calamity Jane, James, Tonto and Zorro. There is rarely any violence or shooting unlike in the real Wild West primarily because they spend so much time making fun of the west and themselves. One historical inaccuracy that is very evident in the series is the appearance of professional soccer players playing their sport down main street.
