Bang on Budget follows a different household undertaking projects in their property. The family will be shown inspirational versions of their rooms, all done on various budgets, and pick their favourite. It will then be up to Lucy and builder Andy to try and replicate whichever rooms they pick, but they will have to stick to the owners' budget. If they go over on one room will have to claw back cash in another to balance the books.Together they will use their creativity and building know-how to come up with smart solutions, from clever little life hacks to serious renovation. They will show viewers how to get the look for less, and work out when you should shell out for a really key piece of kit, and when can you afford to use something that costs practically nothing.
Linda and Dave would like a modern kitchen diner and a boutique hotel style bathroom on a tight budget. Lucy Alexander and Harry Hoffen come to the rescue, but hadn't bargained for a £3,500 fridge!
Lucy Alexander and Harry Hoffen take on their biggest build to date. Dorrie and Simon Dowling recently bought a 1930s house on the south coast that features a massive wrap around conservatory, a 12 seater hot tub and a fussy 80s kitchen. Once they have got rid of those it's time to knock down a few walls to create the grey shaker style kitchen-diner they have set their hearts on. With expensive taste but no budget to match, how can Lucy and Harry help them transform the house into the home they want? And will the double-sided log burner send the budget up in smoke?
Bristol newly-weds Georgia and Dan Hemings have saved and scrimped to buy their new three bedroom semi, with hopes of turning it into a family home in the future. They've managed a smart new kitchen and bathroom, but the rest of the house is a building site and money has all but run out. Lucy and Harry's task is to maximise every remaining penny to create a smart, 1930s style sitting room and sumptuous master bedroom.
