Macintyre locates the birth of wind at the equator and is carried through its many manifestations, from gentle breezes to tornados, to the ends of the planet.
Paragliding into the heart of a monsoon rain cloud, Macintyre experiences earth's wildest, wettest weather. He also visits Europe's wettest place, learns the secret of rain-making and experiences the terror of a flash flood.
Macintyre is buried alive on a journey south from the North Pole, visits Mount Washington in Greenland - known as the home of the world's worst weather- before climbing cold's most incredible monument, a glacier.
Maclntyre follows heat's journey from the steaming jungles of Belize on the Equator, through the blinding sandstorms of the Sahara desert - where he runs the infamous Marathon of the Sands - to the snows of the Arctic.
