not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Without question, it has been one of the most interesting, exciting and unpredictable college football seasons in recent memory. The trip to the Bowl Championship Series began in September with Appalachian State's historic upset over Michigan, and continued throughout the season with seemingly weekly upsets of top-ranked programs. While this season's BCS journey has been one for the ages, the time to unveil the much-anticipated pairings for college football's jewel events comes this weekend during the ALLSTATE "BCS SELECTION SHOW", Sunday, Dec. 2 (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT), live and in prime time on FOX.
This 30-minute presentation takes place immediately following doubleheader NFL coverage from the FOX Network Center in Los Angeles and delivers match-up announcements, exclusive analysis and live interviews with key figures surrounding the Allstate Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 1, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Wednesday, Jan. 2, FedEx Orange Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 3, and No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game live from New Orleans on Monday, Jan. 7.
"College football fans have been on the edge of their seats all season long and there's no better way to see who plays who in January than on network television in prime time on a Sunday night following a big day of NFL coverage," said FOX Sports President Ed Goren. "As we learned last year, the ALLSTATE "BCS SELECTION SHOW" is a huge draw among the nation's sports fans, and FOX treats these announcements with the high level of attention they deserve."
BCS on FOX host Chris Rose anchors the ALLSTATE "BCS SELECTION SHOW", and is joined in FOX Sports' Los Angeles studio by Allstate Sugar Bowl and Allstate BCS National Championship Game analyst Charles Davis, as well as two National Championship-winning coaches in Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson. Reporters Chris Myers, Jeanne Zelasko, Thom Brennaman and Laura Okmin contribute live interviews from BCS-bound college campuses and other key locations around the country. (Source: FOX)
