M, a mystery writer, has a girlfriend of five years named F, who disappeared on Halloween night. When a woman comes and claims to be her sister, M begins the search for his girlfriend. Along the way, the people he meets describe a woman very unlike the F he knew.
M searches for his missing girlfriend, and crosses paths with strange members of the public, thrusting his quiet life into chaos.
M learns that his girlfriend has been missing since Halloween, and is told her friends might know where she is. M realises he doesn't know of a single friend in her life.
M's editor tells him to create his first ever social media account. Despite M's worries, it gains many followers.
It is past midnight at BAR Lighthouse. The only customers are M, a beautiful female fan of his and Izumi.
New Year travels are in season, but M has no one to see and nowhere to go. He has a flu, so Kaoru asks Fukuo and Izumi to deliver food to him.
M hears that a TV producer he used to work with is ill, so he visits his former company. On his way back, M finds F's sister at BAR Lighthouse.
The story picks up two years in the past when F and her sister meet their grandmother for the first time.
M is drinking at Bar Lighthouse when he is suddenly tasked with looking after Sawada's cat. However, the next morning he cannot find the cat anywhere!
Looks like something went completely wrong!
