Next Episode of Blood Ivory is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
The East African Elephant, a keystone species that supports multiple ecosystems and vital for global health, is in jeopardy. At the turn of the century, Africa was home to ten million elephants. But due to the recent growth of the Ivory industry, as little as four hundred thousand remain. Tanzania is the frontline in the fight to save the species. The parks are in crisis mode. The Tanzanian Rangers are out gunned and under manned as poachers continue the slaughter. Blood Ivory follows their struggle as they hunt for these crews of suspected elephant poachers.
The VETPAW team scrambles through red tape while realizing the majesty of Africa and what they came there for; for their first operation, their search for ivory takes them to a remote village belonging to a tribe known to use poisonous arrows.
The team receives intelligence from two arrested poachers about a major elephant-killing crew operating in the Rungwa Game Reserve, one of the most dangerous parks in Tanzania; Ryan's teams suit up for a night operation and heads into the dark.
Despite exposing a major suspected elephant-killing crew operating in the Rungwa Game Reserve, the sunrise compromises the team's cover.
The VETPAW team receives orders to stand down after their operation creates friction with other government agencies; intelligence reports point to a suspected park ranger dealing ivory in Mwanza, the second largest city in Tanzania.
