Matvey is a young man who is in love with his colleague Sveta. But Sveta rejects him because he is fat. Matvey decides to lose weight, and enrolls in a fitness club, where he meets coach Julia. Yulia has a dark streak in her life: her boyfriend cheated on her, his loan is hanging on her, the director at work harasses her. Therefore, Julia agrees to become Matvey's personal trainer and live with him.

Matvey introduces Yulia to his colleagues Vadik and Grisha. Grisha is a sociopath and he is annoyed by the presence of a new person in the office. Vadik, on the contrary, likes Julia, and he tries to make a pass at her. Julia ordered her Mother to throw all the junk food in the trash, but mom, after consulting with the concierge, decides not to go along with Julia.

Mom makes inquiries about Yulia, as she fears that she is a con artist and a thief. To legalize Yulia in the office, Matvey introduces her as his girlfriend. Matvey refuses to run in the park, because it seems to him that everyone is looking at him there. Sveta hears Julia scolding Matvey and concludes that Matvey is not good in bed.

From starvation, it seems to Matvey that the refrigerator is talking to him and persuading him to eat. As a result, Julia solves the problem by putting a lock on the refrigerator. Matvey meets Tanya, who has ruined Yulia's personal life, complains about her to the guys. Vadik decides to pretend to be an oligarch and avenge Yulia by sleeping with Tanya. Yulia, having learned about the plan, corrects it, and takes revenge on Andrey.

Mom is terribly annoyed by the lock on the refrigerator. She decides to prove to Matvey that his diet is a useless idea, and begins to feed him in secret from Julia. Julia finds out about the existence of a Director who is trying to control work in the office, being thousands of kilometers away from him. This time he uses the program "Death Call", which Vadik wrote in an attempt to prove to Matvey and Grisha that he is also a cool programmer.

Matvey and Vadik find out that Grisha told them fictional stories from blockbusters about his childhood, but no one knows anything about Grisha's real past. Meanwhile, Julia finds out that she will have to live for a month with almost no money. Because she didn't calculate her budget a bit. Matvey finds out about this and comes up with schemes on how to borrow money from the principled Julia, who never borrows.

Julia finds a new fitness room for Matvey. But there is one problem – the Light goes there too. Julia and the guys are afraid that Matvey will have trouble studying in the Light. Mom realizes that she is losing control of her son and calls on Matvey's ex–girlfriend, Jeanne, to help. Matvey does not want a relationship with Jeanne, but Jeanne agrees even to just have sex. At the end of the episode, Mom finds out that Matthew is losing weight because of the Light.

Vadik gets paid and decides to play the oligarch again in order to sleep with Tanya, but nothing works out for him, despite the fact that he spent his entire salary. After learning that Tanya is still dating Andrey, Yulia helps Vadik carry out his plan even without money. Mom decides to take offense at Matvey for educational purposes, because he hid from her the existence of Sveta and his feelings for her. Matvey and the police officer have been searching for the missing Mother in morgues and hospitals all night.

Julia finds out that the guys are developing some kind of secret project. Grisha, having learned that Yulia had been hacking into his computer, begins to suspect that Yulia had deliberately insinuated herself into their confidence in order to steal this secret project. Yulia is looking for some additional motivation for Matvey, which will help Matvey lose weight. As a result, Matvey is ready to lose weight for the sake of going to the cinema with Sveta. And Sveta is ready for it for the sake of new pants.
