Next Episode of Bonderøven is
Season 18 / Episode 8 and airs on 23 February 2017 19:00
Follow Frank the farmer as he takes you with him on his journey towards a simpler life on his farm.
In this second episode of Frank's adventures to Nepal, he finishes his doko basket and attempts to use it. He is taught how flour is milled by hand and how to make a clay oven. Additionally, Frank sees how the villagers utilizes biogas and gets an idea on how he may be able to apply this to his own farm.
With help from his trusty chainsaw, some oak sticks and a few willow branches, Frank has begun hedge laying in true welsh style. Frank also travels to Fyn to dig up a large chestnut tree and bring home. The newly built black smith is fired up and the first job is to make hinges to the doors he constructed previously.
Frank is excited to see if his experiment with planting strawberries in sheep's wool, will yield any positive result. He is also experimenting with rolling his seeds in clay and spreading them by hand will give his fields better growing conditions. Lastly, we return to the door hinges created in the last episode, which are now being mounted on the door, but will they close?
Frank is force to use his wits and creativeness when attempting to place a large, heavy wooden beam in his stables. His hotbed needs repairs and a grapevine with too many seeds in the grapes is replaced by a kaki tree. Six new goslings joins the ranks on his farm.
Everything from his newly acquired chestnut tree, to the welsh hedge and the pees are growing according to plan. However, so are all the weeds; Frank is therefore forced to grab his trusty hoe and get to work. The only thing not growing, are his strawberries planted in sheep's wool. Frank is joined by his young son and together they build a transportable rabbit cage.
