The Camellia Bowl is an annual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sanctioned Division I college football bowl game that was first played on December 20, 2014 in Montgomery, Alabama at the Cramton Bowl. Announced in August 2013, the game is owned and managed by ESPN Regional Television (a subsidiary of ESPN) and sponsored by Raycom Media, a major owner of television stations in the Southeast with heavy involvement in college sports broadcasting. The game features teams from the Sun Belt Conference and the Mid-American Conference.
The 1st annual Camellia Bowl is being broadcast live from McNaspy Stadium in Lafayette, Louisiana. The Wichita State Shockers are going up against the Hardin–Simmons University Cowboys.
The 2015 Camellia Bowl is being broadcast live from the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. The Ohio University Bobcats (8-4) go up against the Appalachian State Mountaineers (10-2).
The 2016 Camellia Bowl is airing live today from the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. The Appalachian State Mountaineers (9-3) are taking on the Toledo Rockets (9-3).
