Next Episode of Caprica is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Set 58 years before Battlestar Galactica, Caprica follows two rival families - the Graystones and the Adamas - as they grow, compete, and thrive in the vibrant world of the peaceful 12 Colonies, living in a society close to our own. Entangled in the burgeoning technology of artificial intelligence and robotics that will eventually lead to the creation of the Cylons, the two houses go toe-to-toe, blending action with corporate conspiracy and sexual politics.Daniel Graystone, a computer genius, is owner of a large computer corporation that is spearheading the development of artificial intelligence. He and his wife Amanda, who's a brilliant surgeon, are both relentless in their scientific pursuits. The Adama clan is helmed by Joseph Adama, a renowned criminal defense attorney and father of future Battlestar commander William Adama. When tragedy strikes both families, lines are drawn that will determine the fate of the human race.
Daniel Graystone, a computer engineering genius, owns a large corporation that is spearheading the development of artificial intelligence. His unwavering professional pursuits are driven to extreme measures when personal tragedy strikes him and his wife Amanda: their strong-willed daughter Zoe dies in a terrorist bombing fueled by an underground religious dogma. Unbeknownst to her parents, the teenager had been dabbling in these radical teachings, which were secretly propagated by her school's headmistress, Sister Clarice Willow. Also living on Caprica but deeply entrenched in a cultural heritage that sets them apart from the rest of civilization, is the Adama clan, helmed by Joseph Adama, a renowned criminal defense attorney - with questionable ties and sometimes-devious methods - and father to William and Tamara. When Joseph's wife and daughter perish in the same attack that befell Zoe Graystone, Joseph's path crosses Daniel's, and the two become united in their grief. Soon, Daniel lets Joseph in on a sinister secret: Zoe, a computer genius in her own right, had been experimenting with perilous virtual reality technology along with her friend Lacy, and created a life-like avatar of herself, a perfect digital copy. Obsessed with the possibility of seeing his daughter again, and preying on Joseph's shared emotions, Daniel implores his new confidante to help make Zoe's vision a reality. Appalled by the ethical implications of recreating a soul, but aching to bring his own daughter back to life, Joseph complies...and the fate of the human race is altered forever.
In the wake of the MAGLEV bombing that killed his daughter, Daniel Graystone plunges himself into work. He tries to figure out why he can only create a single intelligent robot, not understanding that the answer lies within the fact that part of his daughter survived the explosion and is closer to him than he could imagine. Consumed with grief, Amanda Graystone is obsessed with discovering who her daughter really was, and slowly begins piecing together the details of Zoe's life.
Following Amanda's public revelation that their daughter was responsible for the MAGLEV tragedy, the Graystones must face the wrath of angry Capricans. For Daniel, this includes a confrontation with Sam and Joseph Adama, in which Joseph demands that Daniel reunite him with his daughter Tamara's avatar. Daniel also realizes he can't deal with his grief in private -- this is all going to play out on a public stage.
As the fallout from Zoe's involvement in the MAGLEV bombing grows, Daniel prepares to defend himself and his company on the hugely popular talk show Backtalk with Baxter Sarno. His plan to distance himself from Zoe finds him alienating Amanda, who is still reeling from her own public detractors.
Joseph Adama reaches out to his son William, while his daughter Tamara finds a new side of the virtual world. Daniel suggests a product for Graystone Industries.
Daniel Graystone faces his rival, Tauron industrialist Tomas Vergis, while Sister Clarice closes in on Zoe's avatar program.
Amanda fears for her sanity, while Daniel and Joseph close in on their daughters.
Daniel is beginning to suspect that Zoe-Avatar is in the robot, but his pleas for his daughter to reveal herself go ignored. In an effort to flush her out, he launches a campaign of psychological torture, resulting in escalating tests that force Zoe into a choice she cannot take back.
When Daniel finally sets a deadline for resetting the U-87 Cylon, and unknowingly ending Zoe's existence as she knows it, she makes a desperate attempt to save herself. But when her plan backfires, she finds herself out of time and out of options. Furious with a recent comeuppance, Barnabas ignites his feud with Clarice into an all-out war. Trapped in the middle is Lacy, who is forced to make a decision she may regret forever. Daniel makes a confession to an already reeling Amanda that sends her over the edge.
Daniel makes a deal with the Ha'La'Tha to regain control of Graystone Industries. Clarice suggests the creation of a new religion based on Zoe's invention.
Daniel turns to blackmailing board members in order to garner enough votes to return to Graystone Industries' leadership position once again. Meanwhile, a planned bombing goes awry, causing Clarice and Barnabas to come to a final blow-up, and after talking to Agent Duram of the Global Defense Department (GDD), Amanda starts to get suspicious of Clarice, thinking she might be involved in Zoe's death.
Zoe, believing that Tamara holds the key to a higher purpose, seeks the girl known to New Cap City as the Deadwalker in the most dangerous places.
A conflict on Tauron spills over to Caprica, prompting Sam to send guns to his home world; Amanda infiltrates Clarice's home to find information on the STO and winds up in a clash with the head of the household; Daniel tries to recreate Zoe's avatar and learns just how much control the Ha'La'Tha have over Graystone Industries.
Lacy is sent to Gemenon to join an STO training camp, but her flight gets hijacked along the way; the Willow clan becomes suspicious of Amanda; Joseph divulges a secret about the Ha'La'Tha that has ramifications for Sam and Daniel.
A backstory of the Adama brothers, with flashbacks to their childhood on Tauron and parents. Meanwhile, Daniel negotiates his life with Sam, while Tamara and Zoe redecorate New Cap City.
The Graystones search New Cap City for Zoe, while Lacy uncovers a mystery about the Cylons. Clarice learns the truth about Amanda.
The Graystones find Zoe with a vengeful Clarice closing in, while the Ha'La'Tha turns on the Adama brothers.
