Catching Monsters will take viewers inside the intense world of fishing for one of the world's most prized ocean predators.Every fall, a brave group of fishermen abandon their jobs as lobstermen for six weeks to pursue monsters of the deep that can bring in a fortune. In these die hard North Atlantic fishing communities, fishing is in their blood and passed down from generation to generation.
Pressure ramps up as the North Atlantic Bluefin season enters its second week. Captain Ricky Brennan and his son Nathan search for a giant that will bring a payday. After a hazing, newbie Captain Jeff Mills is determined to catch a big money fish.
Captain Jeff MacNeill plays with fire by hunting Bluefin among the crowded waters of the herring fleet. Captain Matt Panuska faces a run of near misses, making him question everything. Steve Clapperton starts his season with a challenging overnight trip.
The cold could push the tuna south; Trevor heads out to catch his Bluefiin with only a hand-line; a new client could bring a payday for Steve Clapperton.
