Bruno, an undertaker, kills his best friend and associate Alex and hides the body in the morgue then swaps two labels. He then places Alex's car at the edge of the water in such a way that one thinks of a disappearance after an accidental fall. However, the next morning, a young assistant practices embalming and Alex's body is unearthed.

The boss of a small fish trading company, a charming man, good in every way, very human, devoted to his family, but also to his small team of employees, is found killed in several different ways, all potentially fatal. Accident, murder? A way to drown the fish? Or a collective revenge exercised against a real tyrant?

Claire Moreno and her deputy Hubert de Montalembert investigate the murder of a student in Nice. The young man was discovered in the Nice library lying in the middle of a fake crime scene. Lise Lenoir, professor of criminology was at the origin of this montage to illustrate her course. It is difficult for the investigators to disentangle the real clues from the fake ones left voluntarily by Lise. Claire quickly suspects the teacher, her longtime friend who is also Hubert's former mentor. Yet Lise has an unstoppable alibi...

A maintenance worker at the Nice aquarium is found dead. According to the autopsy, it would be a murder covered in heart attack thanks to the hacking of the victim's pacemaker. Suspicion quickly turned to the site veterinarian, Marie Michalik. Yet this mother of an autistic child is nothing like the ideal culprit. Claire Moreno and deputy Hubert de Montalembert seek what link could exist between the suspect and the cleaner and what would have pushed this altruistic woman to commit a crime.
