CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. The Behavioral Analysis Unit's most experienced agent is David Rossi, a founding member of the BAU who returns to help the team solve new cases. The team is lead by Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, a strong profiler who is able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Other members Special Agent Derek Morgan, an expert on obsessional crimes; Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid, a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; Jennifer "J.J." Jareau, the team's confident unit liaison who was called to a top Pentagon job but returns to the BAU under mysterious circumstances; and Penelope Garcia, a computer wizard who helps research the cases. The BAU investigates a string of brutal police officer executions in a border town. Could the killings be cartel-related or something far more personal? The rabbit hole goes deeper when it's discovered that the department may be harboring dark secrets of their own. Behind prison walls, Voit receives an enigmatic visitor, one who may not be what they seem.
Voit asks the BAU for help after he is threatened by The Fan, and the team must race to stop an UnSub before he can finish his chilling work with his latest victim.
After The Fan sets his sights on Brian Garrity and Voit devises a strategy to deal with his nemesis, the BAU must use their profiling prowess to identify The Fan and save their ally.
Now that The Fan has been identified, the BAU and Elias Voit must disrupt his carefully laid plans in order to save his final victims. They discover that the answers they seek, about his fixation with Voit and his current location, lie in The Fan's twisted past. The ultimate showdown with the shadowy villain awaits them in this climactic finale.
