The new, unscripted series follows famed music mogul Deb Antney, who pioneered the careers of several high-profile artists such as Gucci Mane, French Montana and Nicki Minaj, as she embarks on a nationwide hunt for rap's next female superstar MC.
Deb awards the golden mic to the winner of a vocal challenge and the gloves come off when she delivers challenge #2 that questions the final 6 vocalists' alliances; after hearing the vocalists' grievances Deb decides to send two singers home.
Deb sets up a media challenge at Hot 97 with DJ Drewski and sends her season 1 winner Rocky to meet the final four vocalists; when the pressure intensifies, a vocalists hits her breaking point, shaking up the competition.
Deb has a confrontation with Kim; will Kim be able to gain Deb's favor? The final three call friends and family while they prepare for the final challenge; Deb asks for makeovers for everyone; Amber's sensory issues make it especially challenging.
Deb is going to pick a winner at the prestigious R&B ball; the remaining vocalist rehearse with a live band in preparation of the big night; will the stress get the better of these young competitor's?; which one of our three finalists will it be?
