Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.
In the Season 2 premiere, an unexpected attack on Gabriel's Aerie puts a newly freed Alex and Noma on the road to New Delphi, a dangerous and mysterious city. Meanwhile, Claire begins to understand the breadth of her responsibility; and Michael stumbles upon a quaint southern town whose residents have inexplicably managed to insulate themselves from the fallout of the Extermination War.
Alex and Noma are desperate to find an ally in New Delphi with Gabriel hot on their trail; Claire befriends her would-be assassin Zoe, only to discover a seething truth regarding the V1s she had long forsaken; and Michael struggles to maintain his secret as the town he stumbled upon prepare for a sacred ritual to demonstrate their unwavering faith.
Alex embarks on a dangerous quest to prove himself to his new ally, during which a startling face from his past appears; at the same time, Claire enlists the help of an old friend to halt what she believes is a brewing revolt from the V1s; and Michael makes a sacrifice that will prevent him from ever being with his love.

Alex attempts a dangerous eviction in an effort to save Vega from an impending attack; at the same time, Michael plots their escape from New Delphi; and Claire desperately navigates the fallout of Civil War as Gates travels behind enemy lines to kill a broadcast that threatens peace in the city. Elsewhere, David procures his role in the rebellion following correspondence with an unexpected ally.
Alex finds unexpected shelter to nurse a wounded Noma, with the New Delphi army hot on their trail; at the same time, Michael and Gabriel attempt to escape their mutual captivity while revisiting a past that haunts them both; and Claire calls for a dangerous parlay as David puts a plan in motion to secure his legacy in Vega.
Alex, Noma and Michael near Vega; at the same time, Julian presses Riesen for the location of the amphora by dredging up his past.
