Presenters Caoimhe Ní Chathail and Proinsias Ó Coinn are on a mission to get us thinking differently about our wardrobes. Every year millions of tonnes of clothing are burned or dumped in landfill, yet for many of us our fast fashion addiction continues. Are our fashion habits destroying the planet?
We meet Donegal student Mollaí Ní Mhiacháin, who spents 80 per cent of her income on clothes, teacher Corey Hanna from Derry, who can't stay away from shopping apps, Belfast mother of two Aoife Ní Mhuireagáin, who is obsessed with the latest trends, and influencer Chris Murphy from Meath, who expresses himself through his outstanding outfits.
With Caoimhe and Proinsias' help, can our contributors change their habits? What will they do with their clothes now that they have heard the shocking truth?
Caoimhe and Proinsias meet a lover of fast fashion with an overflowing wardrobe and a tendency to splash the cash on outfits. Episode two sees primary school teacher Corey Hanna from Derry reveal that she needs two rooms to house her clothing collection and feels so guilty about her shopping obsession that she hides her purchases from her mum.
Caoimhe and Proinsias meet Aoife Nic Colaim, a lover of fast fashion with an overflowing wardrobe and a compulsion to splash the cash on outfits. The Belfast mother of two discovers just how damaging her shopping habits are when she realises there are lots of clothes in her wardrobe with the tags still on.
Caoimhe and Proinsias meet social media influencer Chris Murphy from Meath, who expresses himself through his colourful and flamboyant outfits. Chris feels under pressure to constantly wear something new and is guilty of only wearing the majority of his clothes once or twice. Can he change his ways?
