The life of Fermín, a young and attractive priest from the village of La Isleta, becomes complicated when his cousin Isaac and his wife, Ana, move there. He is almost immediately drawn to Ana. When he discovers that she harbors the same feelings, a fierce inner struggle erupts. Ana, for her part, feels an unpayable debt to Isaac for having rescued her from her difficult and tragic past, and she too must confront the nightmare of having to sacrifice her own happiness out of loyalty.
Ana and Isaac arrive in La Isleta, a peaceful fishing village where Fermín, Isaac's cousin and the local priest, warmly welcomes them to begin a new life. Meanwhile, as the threat of the Coastal Law looms over the cove, the houses are crumbling beyond repair. Faced with this neglect, the residents decide to take matters into their own hands and start the work themselves.
A fire unleashes chaos in La Caleta, endangering both residents and their homes. Suspicion quickly falls on Amalia and Oliva, singled out as potentially responsible for the disaster in their eagerness to build a tourist resort. Amid the conflict, Fermín turns to Father Almoguera seeking answers to quell his doubts, while Ana desperately tries to find solace in any way she can.
Dolores faces a painful reality that threatens her marriage. Meanwhile, Isaac's trust in Fermín sparks a new and unexpected connection between the priest and Ana. Ramiro confronts Amalia's betrayal, while Mateo and Clara navigate a profound crisis.
Isaac, Fermín, and Ana are forced to leave the village to go to the hospital, where Isaac's father is in critical condition. There, he confesses to Fermín that he murdered three men, and the house of his childhood brings back dark memories for Isaac that strain his relationship with Ana.
