Esperanza

“Esperanza” is the name of the character played by “Judy Ann Santos” in the dramatic soap opera series also known as a “Telenova” in the Philippines. Her mother Isabel was originally betroved by her parents to marry a young man but because she was in love with another refused to marry him. The man she did marry Juan was currently dating a girl named Sandra but left her to marry Isabel. The couple abandoned their daughter at a young age to hide from their parents. The story goes that “Esperanza” who now had 3 children of her own began what would become years of searching for her real parents.
