Next Episode of Europe, un continent bouleversé is
unknown.
Shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, Europe is facing immense challenges: its dependence on fossil fuels, waves of migration, and collapsing biodiversity. But while some might think that's a cause for despair, for some Europeans, it's a call to action.
Our heavy dependence on fossil fuels, highlighted by the war in Ukraine, does not only pose economic and geopolitical problems.
Today, our continent is facing the largest wave of migration since 1945: more than 5 million people have fled war-torn Ukraine.
While it has developed gigantic infrastructures to increase mobility, Europe must today face several challenges.
Outpaced by China and the United States, Europe appears to be lagging behind in the digital field. Fake news, precarious jobs, data theft: the hegemony of the American giants is not without consequences.
Long ignored, the climate crisis is now the subject of a societal debate, while Europe, like the rest of the world, faces ecological disasters that call for a paradigm shift.
Pushed to produce ever more and less expensively, European breeders and growers are exhausted. Despite the deleterious effects of intensive agriculture on the environment and health, the European Union continues to reserve its subsidies for large farms.
Looks like something went completely wrong!
