The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on December 22, 2015 at Albertsons Stadium on the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. It is one of the 2015–16 bowl games that conclude the 2015 FBS football season. The nineteenth annual Famous Idaho Potato Bowl pits theAkron Zips of the Mid-American Conference against the Utah State Aggies of the Mountain West Conference. The game will start at 1:30 p.m. MST and will air on ESPN. The game is sponsored by the Idaho Potato Commission. The 2015 game will feature the Akron Zips (7-5) against the Utah State Aggies (6-6). It will be the first overall meeting between the two schools.

The Wolf Pack (6-2) look for redemption in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl when they play the Green Wave (6-5). Nevada fell 30-21 to Ohio in last season's game. The Pack also lost this bowl in 2008. Tulane has won four of its past five contests.
The Golden Flashes face off against the Cowboys in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Wyoming defeated Central Michigan in this game in 2017. Wyoming's Josh Allen, now with the NFL's Buffalo Bills, threw three TD passes and was named the game's MVP.

The Spartans (7-4) play the Eagles (8-4) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Eastern Michigan looks to ends a four-game postseason slide. EMU's only bowl win remains its first appearance, a 30-27 decision over San Jose State in the 1987 California Bowl.

Georgia State faces Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Aggies are no stranger to this contest, going 1-3 all-time in the Potato Bowl. Utah State quarterback Levi Williams will forego his senior year to enter the U.S. Navy SEAL training.
