Cupid's arrow is set to hit Irish shores this month when the brand new series of First Dates Ireland airs on RTÉ2. The restaurant doors will swing open bringing singletons from all over the country together in the hope of finding love.At the helm of the Irish First Dates restaurant is maître d' - Mateo Saina. Originally from Croatia, Mateo moved to Dublin in 2004 to take up a position at 'Browns on the Green'. Falling instantly in love with the city and its people, Mateo has lived here ever since. Joining Mateo is his team of merry matchmakers; barman Ethan Miles and waitress Alice Marr.The singletons who will visit the restaurant range in age from 20 to 70 plus. The unobtrusive cameras allow the daters to forget they are being filmed and start bonding. or not!
There's a new set of daters in the First Dates restaurant as series 11 kicks-off. Single mother Boo (32) meets hyperconfident, self-confessed ‘wreck the head' tattoo artist Lisa.
Twin sisters Gigi and Edgy from Meath arrive for a double date, and actress Sorcha from Drimnagh arrives at the restaurant in search of 'the forever one'.
At 89, former showband frontman Kevin from Swords meets sprightly 88 year old rock 'n' roll fan Georgina from Cabra, who boasts impressive dancefloor skills.
Larger-than-life site foreman James, 23, from Clondalkin matches with Fayth, 21, from East Wall, and Itzel from Mexico is looking for a hot date.
'Happily unmarried' Gerry, 64, meets Tai chi instructor Bernie, 70, also from Meath, while stylish Moss, 20, from Wicklow meets bartender Ian, 19, from Kildare.
Singer, actress and former X Factor contestant Mary Byrne, 65, from Ballyfermot is ready to face her fear and find love again after 10 years of single life
Pharmacy technician Mim is paired with engineer Jack, but the odds appear stacked against him, while Esther from Arklow hopes for compassion and cuddles with Liam from Dublin
