Flipside (PH)

"Flipside" was a series that took a fun and light-hearted look at the Beautiful Country of “The Philippines” it’s sites, scenes, food, people, sounds and more as seen through the eyes of a teenager as they saw these things. The Host of the show was then 17-year old “Lalaine”, who is an Actress, Hostess and Singer and who was born in California in the U.S. but was born of Philippine parents. She would show different aspects of the country such as the cuisine, culture, fashion, film, life style, music and many of the sights and sounds of this Beautiful country. The show was made and produced mostly in the Philippines but the language and commentary was done in English so that other Philippine descendants around the globe could also understand and enjoy the show. "Lalaine" also interviewed local country celebrities, musicians, designers, and even the President of the country herself. The show premiered on 17 October 2004 on the “Living Asia Channel” which is a Travel & Lifestyle channel. The network broadcasts shows 24 hours a day and all of their shows air in English for those in “The Philippines” that speak the English language. “Flipside” aired a total of 13 episodes and ended in November 2004. Original shows aired on Sunday nights at 6 PM and on Mondays at 2 AM and 10 AM. Repeats of the show aired on Thursday nights at 8 PM and on Fridays at 4 AM and at Noon.
