Brand new series ‘Forensics: Crash Scene Investigation' goes inside the life changing incidents encountered by Yorkshire's forensic collision investigators as they use the latest technology and detective work to find out what went tragically wrong.Each episode is a unique insight into how the Crash Investigators assess the scene of a collision, gradually piecing together what's happened. They are the voice of the victim and often the only ones that can provide answers to families with answers of what happened to their loved ones.
Return of the documentary, this time following the work of Derbyshire's forensic collision investigators as they use the latest technology and detective work to find out what went wrong and why. On the A57 in South Yorkshire, investigators are called to the scene after a speeding car knocks down an 81-year-old cyclist at a pedestrian crossing in a suspected hit-and-run. With news the cyclist has died, the investigation turns into a hunt for the killer.
In Derbyshire, the team deals with two separate cases involving fatalities, with a 47-year-old man killed by an unhitched 20-ton trailer that toppled onto his vehicle while he was giving his daughter a driving lesson. the other case involves a woman who was hit head-on by an out-of-control driver travelling on the wrong side of country road.
