Two college and/ or university teams composed of four players with a
team captain competed for scholarship money by answering questions correctly. The object was to answer 10 point toss-up questions correctly so as to get bonus questions that ranged from 20 to 35 points. An incorrect
answer on a toss-up question penallized a team 5 points and gave the
question to the other team. The team with the most points at the final
whistle won the game and received a $1,500 scholarship grant, and would
return the next week to defend its title. The losing team received a $500
scholarship grant.
