Sam Casey is an agent for INTERSECT, a government think-tank and operations center specilizing in secret missions. While on a diving assignment, Sam was affected by the radiation from an underwater explosion. The radiation rendered him invisible, but INTERSECT devised a way to control his invisibility, by fitting him with a computerized watch that kept him visible. He could, however, shut it off, and become invisible again, for short periods of time. If he did this for more than 15 minutes in any 24 hour period he would die. This ability to become invisible made him a very effective agent.
Special agent Sam Casey poses as a truck driver to safely transport a top-secret liquid cargo, unaware that it has been replaced by a highly volatile chemical.
Sam goes up against a computerized robot with IR sensors that can neutralize his invisibility, attempting to stop a scientist who plans to use his creation to blackmail INTERSECT into giving him $500 million.
An agent using plastic surgery to look like Sam penetrates INTERSECT's security to steal top secret files. Meanwhile, his superiors arrange for Sam's death to cover the imposter's tracks.
The sudden death of a top-level government scientist embroils his unsuspecting former secretary in a race against time between Sam Casey and foreign interests seeking top-secret data about her former employer's work.
Sam wakes up in a motel with no idea how he got there. He then goes in and when Leonard sees him, he pulls a gun on him and tells him that he thinks Sam killed another agent, whom Leonard fired. Sam doesn't believe he did what Leonard says he did. He goes on the run. He meets a woman who helps him. Later they go to Abby who after talking to Leonard says that he sent the agent on an undercover assignment and that he has a video that shows that Sam killed the agent.
