In a three-week, six-hour event, TLC's Going Hollywood examines the flip side of Tinseltown's entourage, following three young entertainment industry hopefuls as each takes on a high-profile Hollywood internship with the production companies of entertainment's biggest stars. The respective companies of Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, legendary producer Robert Evans and hip-hop star/actor Method Man host these young interns as they learn the business of show business.
The interns all want to live the high life, but first, they have to start at the bottom. Each episode of Going Hollywood shows what it takes to break into the business. Interns Ian Campbell, Tara Flynn and Dario Konjicija experience the day-to-day workings of being/experience what it's like day to day to be in the trenches of Tinseltown — not the red carpets, parties, interviews and movies, but what it really takes to be successful in film, television, music and online. Each intern is paired with TriggerStreet.com/Trigger Street Productions (Kevin Spacey), The Robert Evans Company (Robert Evans) and Method Man Enterprises (Method Man). In the end, one of them will make it. The question is, who?
Filmed over the course of six weeks, the Going Hollywood interns find themselves under the microscope of Hollywood's top power brokers. They struggle with the stressful demands of their new jobs in one of the most competitive professions in the world, all the while dealing with their new surroundings. The whims of Hollywood can be demanding, fickle, outlandish, lavish and unpredictable ... will these interns be up to it?
From the sublime to the ridiculous, the tearful to the hilarious, these ambitious amateurs will endure it all in their journey through the Hollywood high life. Will they have what it takes to survive the cutthroat world of show business? Tune in to Going Hollywood to find out.
