Between 1896 and 1899, more than 100,000 brave souls set out on a perilous journey into the frozen North on the legendary Klondike Gold Rush trail. Most never made it to the end. Killed or scared off by bears, treacherous terrain, raging torrents and temperatures below -40 degrees, only one in three completed the journey. Now Parker Schnabel of Discovery GOLD RUSH fame, will attempt to make this same journey and document it in Gold Rush: Parker's Trail.
Parker Schnabel and his friends pay tribute to the legends before them and attempt the Klondike Trail of 1897. Not only is it 600 miles of mountains, lakes and rivers, but leaving late in the season means the winter may derail their plans.
Parker and his crew are only 50 miles into the daunting 600 mile trek on the Klondike Trail. It's a race against time as the water is quickly freezing, but with food sources running low they are forced to pause and go hunting or face starvation.
With 375 miles to go, the journey takes an unexpected turn when Parker falls into freezing water and jeopardizes the entire expedition. Then, after the toughest adventure of their lives they relive what happened on the trail and share untold stories.
