Eilidh Barbour introduces extended highlights of the much-anticipated 150th Open Championship from St Andrews, Scotland.

The ‘Home of Golf' is hosting the celebrated tournament for the first time since 2015, when American Zach Johnson emerged victorious, and the world's best golfers are here again to compete for the famous Claret Jug over the notoriously tricky links of the Old Course.

The USA's Collin Morikawa is defending the title he won in style at Royal St George's last year. He's up against the in-form Rory McIlroy, 2022 PGA Champion Justin Thomas and world number one Scottie Scheffler. Fifteen-time major champion Tiger Woods will also play in this event for the first time since 2019.

Commentary comes from Andrew Cotter, Ned Michaels and Ken Brown.

Eilidh Barbour has more highlights of the 150th Open Championship from St Andrews as the world's best seek to make the cut on the famous and unforgiving Old Course.

Defending champion Collin Morikawa will expect to continue into the weekend, while Spaniard and world number two Jon Rahm is also a much-fancied contender. Matt Fitzpatrick will be hoping his strong start to the season continues – he's vying to become the first Englishman to lift the Claret Jug since Sir Nick Faldo in 1992.

Andrew Cotter, Ned Michaels and Ken Brown provide commentary.
