Gosei Sentai Dairanger

6000 years ago, three tribes of humans lived in ancient China: the Dai, the Shura, and the Gorma. The Gorma attempted to use mystical powers and energies called You to rule over humanity, but their forces were countered by powerful warriors of the Dai tribe wielding an opposite type of power called Qi. At the end of their long battle, both tribes mysteriously vanished.

The Shura have since evolved into modern humanity and do not remember the old battles. In modern-day Japan, however, the Gorma reappear and attempt to take over the world anew. Opposing them is Master Kaku, a warrior with the Qi power of old, who has found five young people who also wield this ancient power. Together, and with the help of mythical Qi beasts, they fight against the Gorma to protect humankind.
