Raising kids is tough, especially when you're Grounded for Life! Sean and Claudia Finnerty, a fun-loving Staten Island couple got pregnant and married by age 18. Now in their 30s, they aren't bad parents, but they're still just kids themselves.
Sean desperately tries to make things right after he interrupts Lily and her new boyfriend Brad while they're making out in Brad's car.
Sean snoops through Lily's room and discovers a fake ID, but he and Claudia are hesitant about confronting their daughter because they know they were in her room"illegally."
Despite his protests, Sean and Claudia force Jimmy to attend a Ramones concert; Eddie is mooching off the Finnertys' groceries.
Sean discovers his old friend Tim, from high school, is now a priest; after watching "The Exorcist," Jimmy believes he's possessed by Satan.
Claudia returns home from an overnight visit to her mother's to discover Sean has barricaded their daughter Lily in her bedroom after she and her friends went to Action Mountain, an amusement park in New Jersey, without Sean's permission.
Sean is jamming with his Les Paul guitar until Eddie arrives and short-circuits the amp; Lily is upset about not being able to attend an expensive school ski trip.
Claudia tries to bond with Lily by having a girls' weekend in Jersey, but it backfires when Lily runs into two slightly older cool girls from school, Mia and Cindy.
Eddie scores concert tickets for Lily; Sean causes a stir when he claims that the beloved family barber, Tony, gave Henry a bad haircut.
When Eddie and Walt try to convince Sean to set his brother up with one of Claudia's friends, everyone is reminded of the time Eddie faked his death to get out of a relationship.
Claudia tries to throw a bachelorette party for one of her friends; the boys attend a Yankees game and an overeager Sean leans over the fence to catch a ball that's still in play.
Walt gives Jimmy a BB rifle for his birthday, which leads to the family to head to the hospital.
Claudia is frustrated that her extra shifts at the restaurant are keeping her away from the family; Jimmy is being bullied at school.
Things end badly when Sean offers to referee Henry's soccer game.
When Lily and her friends plan a sexy routine for the school talent show, Sean flips out and Claudia jumps to her daughter's defense.
Lily finds out that she was conceived before Sean and Claudia got married.
Looks like something went completely wrong!
