The Seven Network is pleased to announce the return of Jamie Durie in an inspiring new documentary series following his family's journey as they navigate the turbulent and challenging task of building a new eco home.Coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus, Growing Home with Jamie Durie features Durie, his partner Ameka and children – three-year-old daughter Beau and 18-month-old son Nash – as they build their dream home with off-grid capability in Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches. Filmed across the two-year build, the series brings viewers a fresh combination of stunning architecture, energy and cost saving ideas, eco-innovation initiatives, home-building challenges, engineering feats, and garden extreme-scaping.
Jamie Durie sets himself a simple mission, to build a 'house without compromise' that is kind to the planet. But simple it is not!
Jamie is on a search to find the right material to build his house. The site excavation begins, and a rare an endangered pair or Ospreys nest on top of Jamie's crane.
The countdown to Christmas is on as Jamie's build comes out of the ground, with geothermal tech, rare birds, and ancient grass trees all playing a part in the journey.
