Gulong ng palad

“Gulong ng Palad” also known as “Loida Virina's Gulong ng Palad” is a dramatic soap opera called a “Telenova” in the Philippines. “Gulong ng Palad” translates into English as “Wheel of Life” . This series first began in the 1950’s as a radio show in the Philippines. “Ricardo Carding Medel” played by actor “T. J. Trinidad” is taken to the U.S. after the death of his father by his mother “Philomena Menang Medel” played by actress “Cherie Gil”. Before leaving the Philippines he promised his girlfriend “Luisa Santos Medel” played by “Kristine Hermosa” that he would write her from the states. Carding however fails to live up to his promise and when he returns to the Philippines 10 years later his old girlfriend has decided she cannot trust him. After Carding is in an accident Luisa decides that she can no longer ignore the person she loves most in this world.
