Gunbuster

"Gunbuster" follows the time when "The Luxion", Earth's first faster-than-light ship, is attacked by space monsters in the Perseus Arm. The world was devastated. Now, six years later, Noriko Takaya, who is the daughter of the Luxion's commander, decides to go into the Okinawa Girls' Space Pilot High School and vow to be a pilot. All this is to follow her father's trail that he started. However, she doesn't suspect the intense training that it takes to be considered to be a member of the elite Top Squadron.
